LCR Motorcycles relocated to Norfolk from London in 2022.

LCR Motorcycles is owned by Colin Carter, a motorcycle mechanic with over 37 years experience. A qualified DYNO and MOT tester, Colin graduated from the world renowned Merton Technical College in 1986. A passionate motorcyclist and drag racer, Colin has worked in many of London’s most highly respected motorcycle workshops. Colin has also co-owned one of London’s only motorcycle dynamometers.

Although well known for his drag bike racing and tuning (GSX 1100 EFE 198bhp/247bhp with Nitrous - RIP - lost in the great fire of Peter Boat Close) Colin is equally at home maintaining and repairing classic motorcycles and race reps. He’s a resourceful mechanic who’ll clearly and honestly explain the options available to his customers without using too much biker talk. Although he is quite happy to switch to biker talk if required.

LCR motorcycles moved to the AllBike Engineering (ABE) complex in Peter Boat Close SE10 in the summer of 2009. A true small British manufacturer, ABE continue to make motorcycle suspension and brake parts. ABE was established in Trafalgar Road, Greenwich 1982 and moved to Peter Boat close in 1992. In March 2022 Colin relocated to Norfolk.

Shortly after LCR MCs joined ABE two other specialist companies moved in to the complex (Tri-moto Triumph and MME Suzuki) to create a collective of highly skilled motorcycle mechanics and engineers.

On 1st May 2014 a catastrophic fire burnt down the main ABE Workshops. The London Fire Brigade were unable to save anything inside the building, Colin lost everything. In March 2016 the newly built workshop opened which offers state of the art workshop facilities and a new MOT centre.
