I’ve got two of these on the go at the moment. They are absolutely fantastic bikes as long as you keep the revs above 7,000 – a very nostalgic ride!!

The picture below is mid rebuild, have a look at the pictures on ebay now it’s sorted.

Wooden motorcycle parts the customers have made!!!

I know, you wouldn’t think it but it does happen. One of our more resourceful customers (i.e. skint!!!) rolled in this week with a home made gear lever, made from wood. This got us thinking, it wasn’t the first we’d seen. We’ve had a wooden foot peg recently too. Perhaps most alarming or resourceful (depending on your point of view) was an old customer whose bike successfully passed an MOT with a 5mm marine ply board rear disc, sprayed silver. No, we didn’t MOT it here!

If anyone else has any other wooden motorcycle stories send us a picture.

LCR MCs Workshop blog

hi everyone and welcome to the new LCR MC’s website and blog.

We’ve just opened a new MOT centre at LCR so we thought we’d also build a new website and start a blog. We will use the blog for interesting things that come our way in the workshop and also things that we think will be useful for you our customers. Colin will also boast about his drag bike exploits no doubt. We will also be running a separate blog on workshop project bikes, this winter it’s a lovely Yamaha TZR 250 that we picked up in boxes a few weeks ago.

On the new website you’ll also find information about what services we offer here at LCR motorcycles, a little bit about our landlord AllBike Engineering and our neighbours Trimoto the Triumph specialists.

We’d love your comments on what we are to and we’d love you to pop in and see the new MOT centre if you haven’t yet done so.

Don’t forget to like us on our facebook page too, thanks all
